What should we wear?
I recommend wearing coordinating colors rather than matching outfits. Soft, neutral tones and subtle patterns photograph beautifully and help keep the focus on your family's connection. Once your session is booked, I'll send a style guide filled with tips and inspiration to make choosing outfits easy.
What if my children won't cooperate?
Please don't worry—I've photographed enough families to know that children have their own timelines! Some of the sweetest moments happen when kids are simply being themselves. My sessions are relaxed and child-led, allowing plenty of time for play, exploration, cuddles, and genuine smiles. There's no pressure for perfect behavior.
Can grandparents be included?
Absolutely! I love including grandparents and multiple generations whenever possible. Extended family sessions are a wonderful way to preserve memories for everyone, and we'll make sure we capture a variety of group combinations during your session.
Can we bring our dog?
Yes! Your furry family members are always welcome, provided the location allows pets. I recommend bringing a leash, water, treats, and, if possible, someone who can help care for your pet when they're not in photographs.
What happens if it rains?
If Mother Nature doesn't cooperate, we'll simply reschedule at no additional charge. I always keep an eye on the forecast leading up to your session and will work with you to find the best alternative date if needed.
How long until we receive our gallery?
Your fully edited online gallery is typically delivered within 2–3 weeks of your session. You'll be able to download high-resolution images, share your gallery with family and friends, and order professional-quality prints directly from your gallery.
When should we schedule our session?
The best time depends on the season and the look you're hoping to achieve. Spring blooms, summer greenery, colorful fall leaves, and cozy winter sessions each offer something unique. I recommend booking 4–8 weeks in advance, especially during the busy fall season, to ensure availability.
Do you travel?
Yes! I'm based in Maryville, Tennessee, and regularly photograph families throughout Knoxville, the Smoky Mountains, and East Tennessee. I'm also happy to travel beyond the area—just let me know where you're planning your session, and I'll provide any applicable travel information.
